Amakano is a four episode OVA. Each episode is minutes long and was released in 2016. It takes it’s source material from a visual novel and that novel appears to be based on the erotic game by Azarashi Soft. Once I find information on that novel I will add it here.
It’s only the end of November and the hot springs town Yomase-machi was already a winter wonderland, having been dyed white from the falling snow. Yuuki moved to this snowy town to help his grandparents shovel snow at their home, the former boarding house Yamanouchi-sou. He met many warm-hearted people, including the shrine maiden Sayuki who worries about her inability to properly greet strangers, his mysterious but playful housemate and senpai Mizuki, and the local café’s cheerful and energetic kouhai mascot Koharu. Even though he was still feeling lost, he tried to get used to living in this snowy land. During that time, his grandfather suggested that he find love while he is still young and lead a new life in earnest. Now’s the time for him to take the first step and fall in love.
Amakano: For the first three episodes, each one focuses on an individual girl at a sort of winter lodge/mansion and the last episode has each girl have their own sex scene. From warming up during a winter storm to coming home for Valentines Day to visiting your home town after so long, each girl presents a different scenario for an intimate moment.
Amakano has a story for each girl is quite lovely, with my personal favorite being Mizuki from the first episode. The idea of being inside a nice, cozy home during a winter storm is by far one of the most romantic scenarios a couple could have together. It seems a bit repetitive that each girl is placed in similar situations for a winter lodge, but the different scenarios that take place far make up for the repetitive nature. The only issue I have would be that the main male character is the same one for each girl, making this seem a bit off putting. In conclusion, this seems like such a sweet story to watch, especially if you are warming up on a cold night or even, dare I say, with your partner.
